Inside the Storm: Severe storm produces hail and a rainbow
WOODROW, CO. (KOKH) —
Severe thunderstorms moved through Woodrow Colorado producing tons and tons of dime sized hail.
Hail was thick enough to cover the roads and caused slippery driving conditions similar to winter snow or sleet storms.
Hail accumulated enough to pile into drifts on the sides of the roads carried by runoff from the torrential rain. Low visibility hampered travel across the region.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom though. The hail and rain shafts caused a very pretty rainbow and the supercell thunderstorm created a beautiful time-lapse video of it intensifying.
