Oklahoma City (KOKH) — WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT NOW THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING FOR CENTRAL, SOUTH, AND SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA.
Precipitation will move in from southwest Oklahoma into central Oklahoma tonight. Temperatures will start just above freezing, falling to about 30 by midnight. Any precipitation will be mainly rain with low impacts.
A mix of freezing rain and snow will move into central and western Oklahoma tonight with rain and snow starting in OKC after midnight. By Saturday morning, mostly snow in the Oklahoma City Metro, with a mix of freezing rain and snow in southern Oklahoma. Ice accumulation will be light and mostly elevated with a glaze up to a tenth of an inch. Snow will last for most of the morning Saturday before ending Saturday afternoon. Snowfall totals will range from a dusting to 2" in central Oklahoma, to around 3" in southwest Oklahoma. Please be safe and plan for delays.
Sunday will be dry and cold with highs in the mid 40s. Mosly sunny skies are expected and low temperatures will be in the low to mid 20s into the middle of next week.
