Rebecca Pryor is thrilled to join the KOKH team as a reporter for FOX 25. Joining in March of 2020, during the initial peak of the novel coronavirus pandemic, the start of her journey in the Sooner State has been interesting to say the least. Still, she can’t wait to call Oklahoma her new home and meet all of you, even if it’s from 6 feet apart!
Before arriving at FOX 25, Rebecca reported, anchored and produced for two years at the ABC affiliate in Sioux City, Iowa. While in the Siouxland market she covered stories ranging from the Iowa caucuses, Mollie Tibbetts murder, clergy sex scandals, and the devastating farmer suicide crisis. She also won a regional Emmy for her team’s award-winning coverage of the historic 2019 flooding.
Rebecca graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Communication Journalism. During her undergrad, she wrote for the school’s newspaper, hosted a radio show, and was a member of both the track and volleyball team, winning a total of 3 conference championships.
To get to know her personally, here’s a little more about Rebecca (in a nutshell)!
Avid reader. Maryland Native. Football & crab cakes fan (it’s what Maryland does!). Dog person. Athlete. Painter. Travel enthusiast. Fly fisher. Hiker. Taco sampler. Eternal optimist. And most importantly, a passionate storyteller.
