Oklahoma quarterback Austin Kendall will enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report by the Tulsa World's Eric Bailey.

The transfer portal allows for schools to contact players interested in a change of scenery, but it does not guarantee that Kendall will transfer.

Kendall has served primarily as a backup quarterback for the Sooners behind Heisman Trophy winners Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray.

He was expected to be in line for the starting job next season, but will still have to beat out redshirt freshman Tanner Mordecai and incoming freshman Spencer Rattler.
