The Oklahoma Sooners will be losing a star to the NBA.

Freshman guard Trae Young announced on his Twitter page Tuesday that he'll enter the upcoming NBA draft in June.

In an article by Adrian Wojnarowski, Young says that he has been preparing his entire life to enter the NBA and that time is now.

Young reflects on driving from Norman to Oklahoma City to take in a Thunder Game with his father and showing up early just so he could study some of the greatest players ever to play the game. In the article he says that he can't move forward without taking a look at the journey he has taken to get to this point. He thanks his family, as well as his coaches and his teammates for helping get to this point.
