Kyler Murray would 'love' to play both pro football, baseball
NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) —
Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murrays knows where his heart is — and it's with both football and baseball.
The Heisman hopeful was asked about the possibility of playing both in Major League Baseball and the NFL. And the first-year Sooners starter says he's open to the idea.
“I would love to do that," Murray said of playing both sports. "I’ve always been a guy of many options. Trying to keep them open as long as possible. If that was possible, I would definitely be open to it.”
Murray acknowledged it would be harder to do at the professional level. But a generational athlete like Murray could make it work.
The Sooners quarterback will know his Heisman fate at roughly 7:50 p.m. on Saturday.
Win or lose, Murray will get a chance at fellow Heisman hopeful and Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa later this month on the field.
