Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is expected to sign with the New Orleans Saints Thursday according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Bryant will join the 7-1 Saints, fresh off a 45-35 victory Sunday against the previously undefeated Los Angeles Rams.

The 30-year-old receiver played eight seasons with the Cowboys, finishing with 7,459 yards and 73 touchdowns. He made three Pro Bowls (2013, 2014 and 2016) during his tenure. After he caught a league-best 16 receiving touchdowns in 2014, Bryant has failed to eclipse the 1,000 yard mark in a season.

Several teams expressed interest in Bryant when he became a free agent in the offseason, but he waited until Week 10 of the NFL season to join the Saints.

Bryant will team up with quarterback Drew Brees, running back Alvin Kamara, running back Mark Ingram and wide receiver Michael Thomas in the league's second-best scoring offense (34.9 points per game).

Bryant will face his former team Nov. 29 in Dallas in a nationally televised game.
