OSU's Washington named Biletnikoff Award semifinalist

Oklahoma State wide receiver James Washington is in the final 10 to be named the best receiver in college football.

The Tallahassee Quarterback Club announced Monday that Washington was named a semifinalist for the 2017 Biletnikoff Award.

Along with Washington, the list includes:

  • Darren Andrews, UCLA
  • A.J. Brown, Ole Miss
  • Deontay Burnett, USC
  • Keke Coutee, Texas Tech
  • Michael Gallup, Colorado State
  • Steve Ishmael, Syracuse
  • Anthony Miller, Memphis
  • Trey Quinn, SMU
  • David Stills V, West Virginia

Washington trails only Gallup in FBS receiving yards with 1,158. He's also eighth in yards-per-catch average at 21.8 and tied for ninth with nine touchdowns.

The 2017 Biletnikoff Award will be presented on December 7.
