Kevin Durant said his comments slamming the Thunder Sunday night on Twitter were "childish".

Late Sunday, Durant posted two tweets in third person critical of the Thunder. The tweets stated Durant didn't like the organization or playing for head coach Billy Donovan.

Speaking at Tech Crunch Tuesday in San Francisco Durant said he thinks Twitter is a great way to engage with fans but that he did "take it a little too far".

"I don't regret clapping back at anybody or talking to my fans on Twitter. I do regret using my former coach's name and the former organization I played for. That was childish. That was idiotic, all those type of words. I apologize for that," Durant said.

Durant says he plans on scaling back his use of Twitter but still plans to interact with fans.

"I'll move on from that, it was tough to deal with yesterday. I was pretty mad at myself," Durant said.
