Florida: 200+ cats taken from rescue group
An animal rescue group in Florida is under investigation after more than 200 cats were removed from the facility Friday.
Officials said they took 247 felines from the "Fur N Feather Farm" in Hillsborough County due to concerns about their health.
Six were in such poor condition that they had to be humanely euthanized.
Hillsborough County Animal Services says this is one of the largest cases the county has seen.
They think there are dozens more cats at the site.
But workers are having a tough time accessing all areas and are having to wear protective equipment.
There were also over 100 exotic birds on the property.
Officials from Florida Fish and Wildlife are assessing the health of those birds.
