A dramatic flood rescue caught on camera Thursday in southern California.
Firefighters pulled a man from the Los Angeles River near Griffith Park as he was clinging to a tree.
The rescue involved highway patrol, a park ranger and a chopper.
After a struggle to make contact with the man, the rescuer eventually pulled him into the fire department helicopter.
The fire department said he was conscious and alert, but will need to be treated for hypothermia.
It's unclear why he was in the river. but officials say at last check, he was in fair condition.
