What Is Molluscum Contagiosum?
-Small, dome-shaped bumps with a dimple in the center
-The bumps are the size of a pinhead to pencil eraser (2 to 5 millimeters).
-Most people have a group or line of bumps together
-usually white, pink, or flesh-colored.
-Can become itchy, sore, red and/or swollen
-cover the lesions with clothing or bandage
-avoid touching the lesions
-avoid sharing towels, razors, or personal sports equipment
-lesions typically disappear within 6-12 months without scarring
When to Go the Doctor
-when lesions appear in face or groin
-when lesions appear infected
-if lesions appear to be multiplying
