Yukon police and the OSBI are investigating an officer-involved shooting early Friday morning.

Police say around 1:45 a.m., officers got into a pursuit with the driver of a truck near I-40 and Garth Brooks Blvd.

Officers say the driver of the truck put it into reverse and rammed the police car. Officers continued on a slow speed chase that finally stopped in front of the Fairfield Inn. Police say the driver put the truck in reverse and rammed another officer's car. That's when the officer got out and shot through the truck.

The suspect and officer were not injured, but were taken to the hospital to be checked out. Police later identified the suspect as 55-year-old Laddie Polasek. Polasek faces complaints of assault with a deadly weapon, felony attempting to elude police and running a roadblock.

The officer that fired a shot at the vehicle has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into the incident.
