Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt explains most of the surge in coronavirus cases have been outside of Oklahoma City.

Holt said cases reported from Saturday to Wednesday show most cases were in counties outside of the metro.

According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, no Oklahoma City metro zip codes were included on the list.

Jenks reported 70 cases, Tulsa reported 61, and Broken Arrow reported 33.

Regardless of the numbers, everyone is urged to take precautions like wearing a mask in public and social distancing.

Wednesday, a record 482 new cases of coronavirus were reported.
