SHAWNEE, Okla. (KOKH) — Police took a man into custody after responding to a domestic call in the 900 block of North Patchin Avenue.
Shawnee police say they responded to the call at approximately 5:27 a.m. on Tuesday Jan. 29.
Officers negotiated with the man, who was reported to be armed, for about an hour. Police were eventually able to take him into custody without incident.
A woman was also inside the residence, but was able to exit the property safely and without injuries upon officers' arrival.
The suspect taken into custody was not identified by Shawnee police.
