OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — On Tuesday evening, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) headlined a Red Wave Rally for Gov. Kevin Stitt's (R) re-election campaign. Organizers held the event at Crossroads Church in Oklahoma City.
The senator, along with other speakers, encouraged Oklahomans to head to the polls and vote Republican.
Gov. Stitt and his supporters took aim at the Democratic candidate for governor Joy Hofmeister. She currently serves as the state superintendent of public instruction.
Both the governor and senator are sharing their closing messages before voters head to the polls on Nov. 8.
Gov. Stitt argued that, "as governor I've put more money in education than any other governor before me. I'm going to continue that momentum. We're going to continue infrastructure everybody wants the best roads and bridges. We're going to continue to improve... healthcare outcomes."
Sen. Cruz added that, "if you look at Governor Stitt's record, it is a great record for the people of Oklahoma. If you look at, at the choice it is amazing that Democrats have put forward, someone who was the face of school shutdowns."
