Red Cross offers disaster relief for tornado victims

    The American Red Cross will be opening a disaster relief center Tuesday morning for the victims affected by Monday's tornado outbreak.

    A Red Cross trailer containing snacks, beverages, and other disaster recovery items will be available Tuesday morning at 2108 West Broadway in Sulphur Oklahoma. The doors are set to open at 9 a.m.

    The Red Cross emergency response mobile unit will also be deployed tomorrow to deliver bulk supplies and snacks throughout Garvin County.

    According to a statement, the Red Cross has already provided meals to more than 50 people in Garvin County as well as support for at least two individuals with emergency medical needs.

    Officials say they will continue to monitor the situation across the state and teams will begin damage assessment in Murray, Johnston and Garvin counties on Tuesday.
