Police: Stabbing in S. OKC investigated as homicide

    Feb. 15 10:00 am - Police have released the names of both the victim and the arrested in a stabbing that took place on the 500 block of SW 30th St.

    The victim, 26-year-old Ashley McGough was found with a stab wound at an apartment complex near SW 29th and Walker Ave. just before 4 pm on Thursday according to police.

    McGough was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

    Police say a verbal altercation took place between McGough and the arrested, 48-year-old Connie Bruner, when McGough was stabbed.

    Bruner was taken into custody and booking into the Oklahoma County Jail on a complaint of murder in the first degree.

    The investigation is ongoing and those with any information are asked to call the Homicide Tip Line at 405-297-1200.

    Feb. 14 6:25 pm - Police are investigating a stabbing in the 500 block of SW 30th St.

    The suspect and victim are both women according to police. Police say the women were fighting in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

    The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition and has died at the hospital.

    The suspect is in custody.
