Police searching for woman wanted in connection to armed carjacking

Oklahoma City police have released surveillance photos of a woman they say was involved in a plan to carjack a vehicle.

Photos show the woman June 29 near the time a vehicle was stolen in the 1200 block of N. Meridian. Police say the woman ran in front of a vehicle in traffic and claimed her boyfriend was chasing her and that she needed help.

When the motorist unlocked his door to help, a man struck him in the face with a pistol and the man and woman stole the vehicle.

Anyone with information on the woman is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300.
