Norman police hope to track down a man who stole more than a thousand dollars worth of drones from a metro business.

Surveillance video shows the man just before 3 p.m. Feb. 4 walking out of Target, 1400 24th Ave. NW, without paying for the drones. Norman Police Department spokesperson Sarah Jensen says the case is unique.

Police say the man was able to walk into the Target and out with the drones undetected. The drones were valued at $500 a piece. The man is described as fairly tall.

Jensen says Target employees have a theory as to ho the man was able to steal the drones without being detected.

"Target's loss prevention seems to think that he had some type of mechanism with him that allowed him to disable or take off those security items," Jensen said.

Once the man walked out of the business, police say he was seen getting into a newer model, silver four-door car.

Anyone with information on the man is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 405-366-7867.
