A man has been arrested after he threatened to perform violence against law enforcement officers.

Oklahoma County court records show Jermaine Anthony Dawson, 40, has been charged with one count of endeavoring to perform an act of violence.

Police records allege that on Nov. 3 Dawson called police dispatch and stated that he will shoot the next officer that pulls him over and asks for his identification "because he is black".

Dispatch was able to find the number coming from the 7400 block of NW 10 Street. An officer in the area was able to find Dawson and confirmed that his phone number was the same that placed the call to dispatch.

He was then arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
