Motel clerk shot during armed robbery early Wednesday
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
One person is in the hospital after being shot during a robbery in the northeast metro.
Oklahoma City police say the robbery took place just before 2 a.m. Wednesday at the Budget Lodge Motel on I-35 near NE 122nd. Three men armed with handguns entered the motel and forced a female clerk to the ground. When another clerk heard the commotion and came to the front desk, he was shot by the suspects.
One person was reportedly shot and taken to the hospital. Their condition has not been released. The men then stole the female clerk's purse and fled the store.
No arrests have been made but police have released surveillance photos showing the three men.
