OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — A woman was killed after being hit by a pickup truck on Friday Jan. 11.
Police say the car fled the scene after hitting and killing 60-year-old Tamara Michele Paulson, who was leaving Braum's Ice Cream & Burger and headed to a nearby bus stop.
The incident happened near Southwest 38th Street and South Pennsylvania Avenue early Friday morning.
Police say Paulson lived three blocks from the Braum's, located at 3921 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Paulson went to the Braum's every morning and the store's employees knew her very well.
She was leaving the Braum's and headed to a nearby bus stop as usual when a pickup truck hit her and drove off, according to police.
Police ask the public to be on the lookout for the truck, which is missing a grill and right headlight that fell off when the driver hit the pedestrian.
Officials say they're searching for an older model white Chevy pickup truck. The car reportedly sits low and has low LED lights. It has dark tinted windows and either an extended cab or four doors.
