Ozone Alert Day issued for central Oklahoma on Friday
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments issued an Ozone Alert Day for central Oklahoma on Friday, Aug. 10.
The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality projects Friday's conditions in central Oklahoma to be favorable to the formation of ground-level ozone air pollution, according to a release.
This pollution is especially dangerous to children, the elderly, individuals with respiratory illnesses, individuals with cardiovascular illnesses and individuals with asthma, diabetes and emphysema.
ACOG suggests reducing automobile engine run time and delay mowing and outdoor burning on Friday.
