OSDH: 228 flu-related deaths in Oklahoma this season

More than 200 people have died from the flu or flu-related illness this season in Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health reports that 228 people have now died this flu season. That's an increase from last week's total of 194, which was already a record. More than 4,300 people have been hospitalized with the illness.

According to OSDH, 33 of the deaths and more than 700 hospitalizations are in Oklahoma County. Tulsa County has seen the most deaths in the state at 42.
