Oklahoma State Senator charged with sexual battery
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
An Oklahoma state senator has been charged in connection to the alleged assault of an Uber driver.
Bryce Marlatt was charged Sept. 6 in Oklahoma County Court with one count of sexual battery. In June, police confirmed they were investigating Marlatt after a female Uber driver reported she had been assaulted by a passenger.
The victim told police she picked up the man at 10 p.m. and while she was driving him to a hotel on Northwest Expressway he began grabbing her forcefully and kissing her on the neck. The woman was able to garner information from the man and find a photo of him on the internet to show police.
Marlatt's attorney said he had no comment on the charge at this time.
In 2014, Marlatt pleaded no contest to an actual physical control charge after being found passed out and intoxicated behind the wheel of a pickup in Woodward County.
