Oklahoma State Fair begins 11-day run on Sept. 13
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
The 2018 Oklahoma State Fair opens its gates on Thursday, Sept. 13.
This year's fair features new shows, including Puppies of Penzance and Pirate Magic of Rafael & Katia. The North American Trick Riding Championship and the Stock Horse Versatility Competition will also debut at the Oklahoma State Fair.
The public is invited to participate in SINGO & Trivia Night on Sept. 13, as well as Board Game Bonanza on Sept. 14 and the Oklahoma State Fair Cornhole Classic on Sept. 23. Click here for a full schedule of events.
Country favorites Neal McCoy, Colt Ford and Dylan Scott will provide free performances for the public. R&B artist Dru Hill, Hispanic group Los Traileros Del Norte and Space Oddity — The Ultimate David Bowie Experience are also tabbed to perform at the fair.
Disney characters Moana, Rpanuzel, Elsa, Olaf and more are coming to the Oklahoma State Fair with "Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream." Click here for more information on "Disney on Ice."
The excitement, however, doesn't stop there. The PRCA Xtreme Bulls Tour will grace Jim Norick Arena, which will also host concerts from Big & Rich and Aaron Watson.

Gate admission for 2018 Oklahoma State Fair
- Adults (ages 12+): $12
- Children (ages 6-11): $6
- Children (ages 5 and under): Free
Opening Day (Sept. 13) admission will be only $2.
Military personnel and spouses (Military I.D. required) will receive free admission on Monday, Sept. 17. They'll also be able to purchase JFK Exhibition Tickets and Sky Eye Wheel ride tickets for $3 each.
Dr. Pepper $2 Tuesday is set for Sept. 18.
Senior citizens 55+ (I.D. required) will receive free admission on Wednesday, Sept. 19.
