Oklahoma schools get $2 million grant

The Oklahoma Energy Resources Board is donating $2 million to Oklahoma school districts.

The $2 million grant will go towards science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) materials.

“The OERB has been dedicated to providing quality STEM-related educational resources and classroom materials for more than 20 years,” said OERB Executive Director Mindy Stitt. “We hear from teachers about how much supplies are needed, and the grant will allow us to further our mission to provide educational resources to Oklahoma schools.”

OERB works with Oklahoma's oil and natural gas industry to improve the lives of all Oklahomans through education and restoration.

Below are the amounts for Oklahoma City and metro school districts:

  • Oklahoma City- $161,892.80
  • Putnam City- $63,052.56
  • Moore- $45,582.24
  • Edmond- $27,175.68
  • Norman- $32,329.47
  • Midwest City- Del City- $41,280.44
  • Yukon- $15,744.41
  • Mustang- $17,460.13
