OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH)--The Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy holds weekly Zoom meetings that are designed to give Oklahomans a chance to hear from policy and scientific experts about the coronavirus pandemic, Oklahoma state government's response to it, and other important issues to Oklahoma children.

The institute announced that this week's topic will be devoted to Medicaid expansion in the wake of Oklahoma voters passing state question 802.

Joe Dorman, CEO of the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy, will moderate the online forum.

The guests of the forum are listed below:

  • Patti Davis, executive director of the Oklahoma Hospital Association
  • State Rep. Marcus McEntire, chair of the House Appropriations and Budget Subcommittee on Health who was also co-chair of the legislative Healthcare Working Group
  • Mike Fogarty, former 13-year executive director of the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, the state agency who oversees the Medicaid program
  • Dr. Dwight Sublett, President-Oklahoma Chapter-American Academy of Pediatrics

The meeting begins Monday at 11:45 a.m. and will last until 1:00 p.m.
