Oklahoma City police released the identity of the man who was fatally shot after allegedly throwing Molotov cocktails into an apartment.

Officers responded to a shots fired call at an apartment complex in the 7200 block of NW 122nd Street just before midnight on December 20.

Around the same time, Oklahoma City fire crews were also responding to the complex due to a fire.

Police said the two calls were related. Police said it appears 36-year-old Dione Prince had thrown several Molotov cocktails into an apartment there.

After throwing the last one, police said Prince was shot by someone in the complex.

Prince fled the scene in his car but ultimately lost consciousness and crashed in the 11500 block of N. Rockwell, according to police.

Prince was brought to an area hospital after being found in his car but ended up passing away.

The case remains unsolved. If you have any information, call police at 405-297-1200.
