OKCPD: 2-year-old's death being investigated as homicide
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
Oklahoma City police say its launching a homicide investigation into a two-year-old who died after being hospitalized with severe burns.
According to police, On June 7, 2017, two-year-old Ezekiel Jones was admitted to Baptist Hospital with significant burns to his lower body. Police were called due to the nature of the child's injuries, but no arrests were made at the time.
Ezekiel passed away two weeks later as a result of a brain bleed, according to police.
On Feb. 6, 2018, OKCPD received the Medical Examiner's Report, which ruled Ezekiel's death a homicide.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and there have been no arrests made in the case. Anyone with information should contact the Crimes Against Children Unit at (405) 297-1124.
