OKC police: Suspect dead, 4 people injured in shooting at Louie's on Lake Hefner

OKC police respond to shooting near Lake Hefner Parkway and Britton Road

The Oklahoma City Police Department was called to the area of Lake Hefner Parkway and Britton Road for a shooting about 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the suspect in the shooting is dead, "apparently shot-to-death by an armed citizen." Four people were injured, two by gunshot wounds. Three victims were taken to OU Medical Center where one victim was listed in good condition, one in fair condition, and one victim was undetermined. Police say the fourth person who was injured had a minor injury and it is undetermined, at this time, how the injury was sustained.

A large number of witnesses have been detained police say, and a center to reunite families had been set up originally at 3333 W. Hefner Rd. The center has since moved to the ball fields near Britton Road and Lake Hefner Parkway.

The FBI say they will assist the Oklahoma City Police Department with the investigation. So far a reason for the shooting has not been determined, but at this point terrorism is not suspected.

The identities of those involved has not been released.
