The Oklahoma City Fire Department is assisting multiple vehicles stranded in high water in the metro area.

The number climbed to 32 as of 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

There are 12 reported vehicle accidents with potential injury, six automatic alarm activations and one house fire. No injuries have been reported in any of these cases, according to OKC Fire.

There was also a report of people stuck in a shelter in the 300 block of SE 47th Street.

The five people, including a 9-month-old baby, were able to get out of the storm shelter, according to the department.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department encourages drivers to turn around if they encounter high water and for others to stay indoors.
