OHP: Oklahoma City man dies hours after I-44 collision
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
An Oklahoma City man was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon after he was struck by a vehicle earlier in the day.
The fatal auto-pedestrian collision occurred at approximately 6:42 a.m. on Dec. 4 on Interstate 44 near Lincoln Boulevard.
Curt Thomas Henry, 38, was walking in the left lane of I-44 westbound. A driver tried to swerve around Henry, but the car was unable to avoid striking him.
Henry was transported to OU Medical Center by EMSA and admitted in critical condition with injuries to the head, trunk internal and external, both legs and both arms.
He was pronounced dead at 3:32 p.m. at the hospital.
The driver was not injured in the collision.
