ODOC identifies 2 inmates found dead at Oklahoma State Penitentiary
MCALESTER, Okla. (KOKH) —
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections identified two men, who died at Oklahoma State Penitentiary on Wednesday.
ODOC says Stanley Majors, 67, and Bobby Bailey, 56, died Wednesday in separate and unrelated incidents.
Majors was serving multiple sentences, including life without parole for first-degree murder out of Tulsa County. Majors was discovered just after midnight by medical personnel.
Bailey, who was serving a life sentence out of Garvin County for shooting with intent to kill, was found dead inside his cell at approximately 11:30 a.m. ODOC says initial information indicates Bailey was assaulted and his cellmate is a suspect.
The deaths of the two inmates remain under investigation, according to a release.
