Norman PD: Man arrested in connection to car theft

Police have arrested a man, who's accused of stealing a car on Nov. 18.

Robert Joe Fryrear. 35. was located in Oklahoma City on Wednesday. He was booked into Oklahoma County jail on complaints of concealing stolen property and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Police say the theft that Fryrear was wanted for happened at about 11 p.m. in the 2900 block of Oaktree Avenue.

Fryrear allegedly held a woman at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Norman apartment complex. The stolen vehicle was later recovered in the 1400 block of 24th Avenue SE.

Police were able to identify Fryrear through the registration of the car he left at the scene of the theft.
