Non-profit hopes to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect
In 2014, 60 chidlren died from child abuse and neglect in Oklahoma.
Despite the startling facts and increasing number of cases the Oklahoma Department of Health has eliminated a number of programs.
A non-profit group, Parent Promise, is trying to fill the gap and offering free education and support. The group has been around for 25 years and has helped families become stronger and healthier one step at a time.
The group has planted 60 flags to honor the children who have died at the hands of child abuse at the Oklahoma Capitol South Lawn.
