New clinic provides healthcare to underserved area
A new healthcare clinic is having it's ribbon-cutting Thursday. It's called Centennial Health. For a lot of folks this new building provides health care access they didn't have before.
Today's ribbon-cutting celebration for Centennial Health is being hosted by the Oklahoma City Black Chamber of Commerce.
This building is located at N.E. 23rd and Rhode Island. The ribbon cutting is at 10 Thursday morning.
Mayor David Holt will be there, along with other civic leaders, clinic leadership, and community partners. The clinic initially broke ground in October of 2017 and selected the NE 23rd Street corridor to bring healthcare accessibility.
"I know this area's been underserved I've been in medicine here for 27 years and I've seen the decline in medical services on this particular side of town. A lot of people here don't have modes of transportation i actually have patients who literally walk to see me," Charles Lunn, Jr., MD, Centennial Health.
Along with the ribbon-cutting there will also be clinic tours. For more information or to book an appointment here a link to there website: centennialhealth.org.
