MUSTANG, Okla. (KOKH)--According to a study done by Insurify, Mustang has more essential workers than any other city in Oklahoma.

In addition, the city is top 10 in the nation when it comes to most essential workers.

In order to come up with this statistic, Insurify looked at numbers and made a list of cities across the country that has the highest proportion of employees still commuting to work every day.

The study said that on average, 14.23 percent of workers across the country have jobs that are deemed essential.

Insurify looked at their list of over two million car insurance applications, which includes current occupations, to determine the cities with the highest number of essential workers.

To determine which jobs were essential, a list of 70 professions from 16 different infrastructure sectors that were classified as essential was compiled.

Insurify then looked at the amount of workers with these 70 jobs compared to the total number of jobs in each city.

Mustang came in at nine, with 16.67 percent of workers in the city being essential.

Junction City, Kansas had the top spot with 22.75 percent of the workers there essential.
