OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH)--The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has granted approval to Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS) to issue emergency allotments to SNAP customers.

The move is in accordance with the Families First Coronavirus Act, which was signed by the president last week.

The decision was made to address temporary food needs due to the coronavirus pandemic.
