Escaped Seminole inmate taken into custody after Pottawatomie County manhunt

An escaped inmate is in custody following a manhunt Thursday in Pottawatomie County.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office reports that they are searching the area of Hardesty Road and Patterson Road near Bethel Acres after a vehicle was reported on a citizen's property. A citizen reported seeing 38-year-old David Johnson near the vehicle.

Just before 5 p.m. he was taken into custody.

Johnson escaped from Seminole Police Department custody on March 6.
