Man sentenced in violent Rogers County rape case (KTUL)

A Rogers County man is headed to prison for the next 35 years for raping a Claremore woman New Year’s Day.

Julian Watson confessed and plead guilty to raping a woman after breaking into her home and tying her up.

“Every woman, this is what they fear, being attacked and violated in such a disrespectful and horrific way; that’s what she went through,” said Rogers County Prosecutor Kali Strain.

Watson threatened to kill the victim if she called police.

“He came up behind her, put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her and kill her children if she ever went to the police. He threw her down on the couch and sexually assaulted her for hours,” said Strain

Watson did a blind plea agreement, preventing a trial.

Watson had a long history violent crimes as a juvenile.
