Oklahoma City police say they've arrested a man in connection to a deadly stabbing in the metro's southwest side.

Officers responded to the reported incident around 3 p.m. June 11 in the 1400 block of SW 45th St. There, officers found 32-year-old Aaron Defendini at a home suffering from stab wounds. Defendini was transported to OU Medical Center where he died.

Police say 59-year-old Dennis Leon Mooney was on-scene when investigators arrived and was questioned by police. Investigators say there was an ongoing dispute between Mooney and Defendini that escalated Monday, leading to the stabbing.

Mooney was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a complaint of first-degree murder.

Defendini's death marked Oklahoma City's 37th homicide of 2018.
