A Stillwater man faces a driving under the influence charge after allegedly crashing his vehicle into a building Saturday.

The Stillwater Police Department reports that at approximately 10 p.m. Nov. 4 a whtie 2005 Ford F-350 crashed into the west side of the Stillwater Public Schools Administration building, 300 S. Main.

The driver, 29-year-old Clinton Ray Wood, was transported to a local hospital before later being sent to an Oklahoma City hospital.

An investigation led officers to believe that Wood was driving southbound on Main Street before leaving the roadway to the east and crashing into the building.

"For whatever reason he veered to the east side of the road, jumped the curb, and ran into the side of that building. When the officers arrived he was unconscious and snoring in the car," said Cpt. Kyle Gibbs.

Wood faces a driving under the influence complaint once he is released from the hospital.

Stillwater Superintendent Dr. Marc Moore tells FOX 25 it will cost at least $20,000 to fix the damage to building.
