Police arrest man accused of at least 9 armed robberies in the metro
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
A man has been arrested in connection to the August robbery of a metro bank.
The Oklahoma City Police Department reports that Mario James Normore, 26, was arrested Oct. 28 on nine complaints of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Police believe Normore is responsible for a string of armed robberies at several metro businesses. In September, police issued surveillance video of several of the crimes in hopes of identifying the suspect. In each of the robberies the suspect wore a ski mask and glasses. He was also armed with a revolver.
Authorities also believe that Normore is responsible for the Aug. 18 robbery of Midfirst Bank, 2225 N. May Avenue.
Normore will likely face federal charges as well in connection to the crime.
