Logan County rattled by series of earthquakes

3.4 magnitude earthquake shakes north-central Oklahoma

Residents near one Logan County town dealt with some shaking overnight.

The United States Geological Survey recorded four earthquakes north of Crescent since Sunday night. The first quake, a 4.0-magnitude, struck around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Another 2.5-magnitude hit late Sunday night before a sizable 4.1 was recorded early Monday morning.

The USGS also recorded a 3.0-magnitude earthquake in the same area at around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

All four of the earthquakes were recorded just east of US 74, near County Rd. 66.
