NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) — Personal care providers in Norman can now reopen after a district judge issued a temporary injunction on the mayor's order to delay opening.
Mayor Breea Clark cited health experts when ordering salons in Norman remain closed for a while longer.
Clark says the city will follow the judge's order.
Personal care providers will move to Phase One of the Norman re-opening plan. This includes salons, spas, massage therapy, and tattoo parlors.
"If businesses do not feel safe opening, you do not have to. For those that do open know that you will be held to the strictest standards of personal safety," Mayor Clark said in a statement.
Residents are still encouraged to wear masks when out in public.
