An investigation is underway after four students were accused of assaulting a fellow student at Roosevelt Middle School.

Oklahoma City Public Schools Chief Communications Officer Beth Harrison says that on Oct. 4 school officials reached out to police after four students were accused of assaulting three other students in a locker room at Roosevelt Middle School.

"The behavior of the students involved in the incident has been addressed according to our Student Code of Conduct, and police are currently investigating the possibility of criminal charges." Harrison said in a statement.

One employee has been placed on administrative leave following the incident. All students are currently on Fall Break.

On Tuesday, OKCPS district athletic director Keith Sinor sent a message to all coaches reminding them of the district's hazing guidelines. The district is now requiring each coach to provide a "written plan for supervision of student athletes before, during, and after practices and games". Those plans are due Nov. 1.

Last week, Putnam City Public Schools said that they were investigating after four football players reportedly held down a teammate and penetrating him with a broken broom stick in a locker room.
