I-40 to be narrowed in downtown Oklahoma City due to soil testing
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
A major thoroughfare will be narrowed in the metro for portions of two days.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation reports that eastbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane between the I-35 junction and Shields from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 15.
Westbound I-40 will then be narrowed to two lanes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 16.
The I-40 on-ramp from Shields Boulevard will remain open during those times. This is due to soil testing as part of upcoming surface repairs.
Drivers are asked to expect delays in the area.
