OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) - A legislative assistant to Rep. Kevin Wallace, R-District 32, says the Joint Committee on Appropriations and Budget meeting scheduled for 2:30 a.m. Wednesday was mistakenly and improperly put into the system. Wallace is the chair of the JCAB.

As of now, the 2:30 p.m. JCAB meeting Wednesday is still on.

The pre-dawn meeting stirred controversy when it appeared on the House of Representatives calendar overnight. It comes as teachers across the state are entering their seventh day out of the classroom, rallying for increased funding.

On Tuesday, teachers are expected to call on Gov. Mary Fallin to veto the repeal of the hotel/motel tax, and for the House to pass the Capital Gains Exemption bill.
